Basic Rights Oregon: The Movement

Amai Unmei Chosen as One of Nicolle Camarata's "Top Ten"

TV and radio personality Nicolle Camarata is throwing the ultimate fashion party and has asked Amai Unmei to be a part of the fun. The Nicolle Shops Portland Party will highlight Nicolle's favorite "Top Ten" of Portland with a fashion show, on-site booths and live music in a party atmosphere, complete with drinks and local awards. The event will be held at the fabulous Wonder Ballroom which is known for parties with personality. Amai Unmei is proud to be one of the "Top Ten" favorites to participate.

February 27th, 128 NE Russel. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the fashion show and awards at 7:30 p.m. and live band Throwback Suburbia at 9:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $12, general admission ($14 at the door), and $40 for VIP which includes cocktails, runway seating, and the coveted NSP goodie bags. Tickets available at all TicketMaster locations which include Fred Meyers, Joes. and ticketmaster.com. A portion of ticket sales to benefit the Oregon Chapter of the MS Society.

"In the last year I've done over a hundred shopping reports for TV and radio and this event celebrates my top ten favorite places to spend money." Nicolle says, "It's a celebration of the Portland fashion scene and the enthusiasm we have for it. The event is expected to bring about 500 people out and I am going to make sure each and every one of them has a great time," added Nicolle.

What sets Nicolle Shops Portland Party apart from other types of shopping events is the emphasis on the party atmosphere complete with a DJ and live band, Throwback Suburbia. Nicolle rented out the location to entice fashionable party-goers to shop, mingle and view what she considers to be the best of Portland. Shops and designers highlighted include Amai Unmei, UnderU4Men, Cave Clothing, Loyaltee, Lily Atelier, St. Cupcake, Blush Premiere, and Oh Baby!

"Nicolle is so spunky and enthusiastic about the Portland fashion scene, that this is guaranteed to be a great party. I am excited that Amai Unmei has been chosen as one of her "Top Ten" favorites, it is an honor," says Allison Covington, designer of Amai Unmei.
